Halifax County officials say a husband killed his wife and then took his own life Saturday.

Halifax County officials say a husband killed his wife and then took his own life Saturday.
Just before seven a.m., deputies were called to a home at 67 Access Road in Scotland Neck.
They say they arrived and found 41-year-old Jesus Flores had shot his wife, 34-year-old Catherine Flores. Lawmen say Flores then fatally shot himself.
The sheriff's office says there was previous domestic violence between the two.

The people that they are talking about are my parents. I am upset that people could say such mean things. You all have no idea the life that my mom and siblings lived in each and every day. I pray for all the people that could say such negative things. My mom was the best mom that we could have ever had and did everything that she could for us even if she went without. I do wish that I could have been there at the time of the incident but God has a plan for everything and I am going to show everyone that me and my family can get through.Even though we did lose someone special she will always be in our hearts and there for us in spirit. God loves everyone even those who don't believe.

What does it matter what race these people were-they were human beings. These childrens lives are shattered. These people were my neighbors and domestice violence was a part of their lives for a long time. Now is the time for the community to pull together and put the children first regardless of their race-they are innocent victims. God bless the family.
