The Student Government Association at East Carolina University in Greenville will hold an anti-violence march and vigil next week.

The march will start at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday near the place where two men were gunned down this week to the cupola on campus. The vigil will take place at the cupola at 7:30 p.m.

"I think this march is very important, " Kendra Parks of the SGA said. "We need to stop the violence and find other solutions to fix the problem."

Parks says an invitation to the vigil will be sent out to the families of the victims.

The majority, begging for peace while the minority prey on them. Law inforcement and prosecutors need to be given the clearance to crack down hard, putting up with nothing out of these thugs on the street and locking them up for a long time when they get out of line. Begging will do nothing but make them gloat and give them confidence that they have beaten you because you are afraid.

Marches and speaking so you are heard make a difference. If we could ask Dr. King, he would agree. Call your representatives. Continue to voice your opinions.
