68-Year-Old Man Charged With Statutory Rape
Jurden Bell, Jr. of Pantego is charged with statutory rape of a person who is 13,14, or 15 years old by a defendant who is at least six years older than the victim.

A Pantego man is accused of the statutory rape of a teenager.
Jurden Bell, Jr. is charged with statutory rape of a person who is 13,14, or 15 years old by a defendant who is at least six years older than the victim.
Beaufort County deputies say back in December they received a report from the Washington County Department of Social Services involving a sex offense that occurred in the Pantego area.
Deputies say they began an investigation and on Monday they received an arrest warrant for Bell.
They say additional charges are pending against the 68-year-old Bell, who had bond set at $50,000 secured.

Community people saw what was happening and if you didn't you had your head in the sand.Most of us in the Wenona area would love to see the drug traffic cleaned up because we see that too but the police fail to follow up on tips and it makes you wonder what to do, I watched a drug deal go down while the Highway Patrol was 100 yards away writing a seatbelt ticket.I told the Washington Co police where it was happening and nothing happened.

How long will it take the media to follow-up on pending charges and the results mentioned in a prior comment. If JB didn't have money and good standing in the community this case would be plastered all over. Politics and money speak loud and clear in the good ole boy network.
