Kathy, don't be fooled by Bob, Martin County, with the exceptions of Bear Grass, Farm Life and Jamesville has become a terrible place. You only hear about the killings, shootings and armed robberies. There are a plethora of other violent crimes such as muggings, strong armed robberies, breaking and enterings, assaults and episodes of school violence that you never hear about. In fact, even the citizens of the county are restricted from hearing about the school violence because the superintendent and BOE do not want the public upset. The good people are moving out of the county in droves leaving less and less law abiding citizens to cope with the lawless thugs. It's not law enforcement's fault, they have good people but few of them and limited resources. It's politicians and overbearing self appointed leaders of the county that are to blame. Steer clear Kathy, especially after dark, residents of the southern and eastern parts of the county stay in our area or Washington in the evenings.

We, as citizens of America, must assist our men in uniform - giving them tips on gun carrying, suspicious activity, etc... They are well out-numbered and we have to do our part. These punks are dangerous enough due to their small mentality...guns make them all the more so - we need to get the guns out of their hands!
