Ahh.. Rocky Mount. Formerly a nowhere on the highway, now a bastion of crime, making the news every week. As far as concealed carry goes, it's ridiculous. If you have a licence, you should be able to carry, and without concealing it, as well. If more honest, upstanding citzens were allowed to have visible firearms, including assault weapons, and if crimes were punished immediately and severely, crime in this country would drop to zero. All it takes is the televised death penalty of one armed robber through medieval methods, and wha-la, no crime. America is far too soft. I blame the liberals with their touchy-feely love fests and socialist stances. You don't see this kind of crap in Iran. Try stealing there.

"Concerned Citizen -G'ville". you mean to tell me that the robber didn't turn around and leave the area without robbing it when he saw the "No Concealed Weapon" sign on the door. He actually entered with a concealed gun? To bad the citizens allowed to carry a concealed weapon could not have one to protect themselves and others during the robbery, or hold the guy at gunpoint until the police arrived. Look just because guns prevent 25 million crimes a year/ 6.849 per day, that being 550 rapes, 1,100 murders or 5,200 other violent crimes with the majority of the guns not even having to be fired, just shown (National Crime victimizations Survey 2000, Bureau of Justice Statistics and BATF)doesn't mean you should be able to carry a licensed firearm into a business, even though it would be hidden and cause no one any concern unless you had to protect your or their life! If you really wish to be disappointed with the NC house check HB 257,269,270,892,1131,1132 and 1133 killed pro-gun bills.

Say it aint so ... I thought that mall was a no gun zone(stickers on door). The problem is that the mall needs to have security posted at each entrance. If you are going to tell people that they cannot conceal carry then they need to have stricter security.
