Deputies say they have positively identified a body found in Beaufort County last week as that of a missing man.

Captain Kenneth Watson tells WITN News that the body is that of Glen McCullough, Jr. Watson says they know how McCullough died, but are not releasing that information yet.

His body was found Thursday evening on Little Egypt Road in Blounts Creek.

Watson says they have no suspects in custody and they're still looking for John Bryant of Chocowinity as a person of interest.

Deputies say they are now looking for a person of interest in the case of a Beaufort County man who was last seen May 30th.

John Bryant, 35 of Chocowinity has not been charged with any crime, but deputies say they would like to talk to him abut the disappearance of Glen McCullough, Jr.

Last Thursday night deputies discovered a body on Little Egypt Road in Blounts Creek. While the body is consistent with McCullough's description, investigators are awaiting positive identification and a cause of death from the Medical Examiner's Office.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Bryant should call the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office at 252-946-7111.

I am older than Glenn but knew him as I was from the same town. My prayers go out to the family...We know no matter what he did not deserve this. My deepest sympathies as you deal with his loss...
