A man is recovering in the hospital and another man behind bars following a shooting in the parking lot of a gentlemens club in Halifax County.
Police say they responded Sunday to a shooting in the parking lot of the Southern Gentlemens Club on Highway 158 in Roanoke Rapids.
Officers say the victim was shot in the chest over an alleged parking dispute. Police say he is currently hospitalized in fair condition.
Dudley Lamar Kee, age 25 of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with attempted murder. His next court appearance is scheduled for June 17.
