Lawmen: Fight Over Phone Call Leads To Shooting
Lawmen charged a man with the attempted murder of his brother.

A fight over a phone call led to one brother shooting another, lawmen say.
50-year-old Albert Lee Harper of Hedgepath Rd. in Littleton in Halifax County is facing charges for the attempted murder of his brother. The Halifax County Sheriff's Office responded to 4790 Hedgepath Rd. at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. Lawmen say they arrested Harper on the spot and took his brother to the hospital. Officials say the plan was to take the victim for treatment at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
Harper is also facing a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. His bond was set at $75,000 dollars.

The bottom line here will be the gun. It is ammunition to take them away. It does not matter he was a felon and had a gun. It does not matter he has no value for life. It does not matter he is so stupid as to argue over a phone. It does not matter he intentionally shot someone. The only thing that will be mention everytime in the news will be the gun.

"It's for me." "No, it's for me." "I'll get it." "No, I'll get it." "You're going to get it all right." After the shot, Albert answers the phone, and says, "Hello" only to discover it was a wrong number... Thinks to self, "I should have let brother get it." Seriously, what was this phone call about! I haven't fought over the phone since I was 9 and my brother was 7. He outran me to get it, and I slid on our hardwood floors, breaking my elbow. I spent the next 4 hours in the hospital. Phone calls just aren't worth this level of pain... Let it go!
