CAUGHT ON TAPE: Shoplifters Use Baby Carrier In Electronics Thefts
Police say the three are accused of stealing Blue Ray DVD players and GPS devices.

Police say crafty thieves used a baby carrier in a shopping cart to make off with expensive electronics gear.
It happened several times last Thursday at the Wal-Mart in Havelock.
Police say the two men and one woman are believed to have taken two Blue Ray DVD players and GPS devices. One man is seen in store video over a two hour period making four trips to a vehicle in the parking lot and placing an undetermined number of items in the car. Store video shows none of the three people passing through checkout lines.
Boxes for the electronics are later found in various places in the store and police believe one of the men stole the merchandise, which was later concealed under the baby carrier by the woman.

They act like this is something new. I was loss prevention at a large retail chain for several years in Raleigh. You would be amazed at the stuff I have seen. Using a child or a carseat/stroller to steal is nothing new. I am amazed this has even made the news. I saw stuff much worse than his ALL the time.
I hope they can identify and catch them. The low lives are migrating to this store and we don't want them here. The New Bern store is like a slum. I wish they would start checking all bags, strollers, etc. of everyone leaving. If you are not doing anything wrong, you don't have anything to hide and shouldn't mind.
