An officer's instincts apparently paid off when he stopped what he thought was a suspicious vehicle and ended up finding drugs and drug equipment inside.

New Bern police arrested the driver, 33 year-old Wanda Johnson of Arapahoe and her passenger, 22 year-old Cortez Broome of Bayboro.

Police say the car came from behind the Palace Motel in New Bern, stopped abruptly and quickly circled back around the building. The officer followed the vehicle and learned the plate was revoked. A search turned up drug equipment, cocaine and marijuana.

Both Johnson and Broome are charged with drug offenses.

Yes sometimes I do make mistakes (my fingers are faster than my brain), I'm only human. I would like to see International news, and see our readers comments. Diper was rather funny in that context.

Why do law enforcement continue to waste man power on trying stop the selling of drugs? The war on drugs has lasted over 20 years and millions of dollars later is that the jails are full and younger dope oys on the corners. Leagalize it and lets fight tougher crimes!

I applaud WITN. They're the only station I know that allows people to publicly bash them even when the bashing doesn't make a lick of sense. Cactus, You have several misspellings that make you look uneducated and silly.
