FBI Trains 60 Law Enforcement Departments From Across The State In ENC
Over 60 law enforcement agencies from around North Carolina came to Pitt County to learn extra life saving tips and participate in life like drills that could one day be used to save you.

Over 60 law enforcement agencies from around North Carolina came to Pitt County to learn extra life saving tips and participate in life like drills that could one day be used to save you.
Members of the Pitt County Special Response Team trained for a situation of a person being down with gun fire coming at them.
Their job in this situation was to secure the scene. Get in and get the person hurt safety.
The FBI administered the training at the Pitt County Community College firing range in Bethel.
Pitt County Memorial Hospital trauma surgeons and er physicians donated their time to the event.
Teaching police how to apply one handed tourniquet's and treat spinal injuries among other life saving tips.

With the tax cuts the way they are for Pcc and Pitt County this wouldn't be a option for tax payers. The cost of paying range master would cost more than $15 a day. Check your local areas and support the firing ranges for public use. Help these business owners.

CC - Maybe you should contact the community college and ask them about what they offer. PCCC does host handgun safety training in conjuntion with the Pitt County Sheriffs Office and the Wildlife Commission. Other classes are also offered through PCCC such as Hunters safety course, Concealed Carry course, etc. I do not know when the next date is available, but it is offered at various times. One problem with opening the firing range up to the public is liability issues. every range must have someone responsible for all those using the range and I highly doubt they will want to hire someone just for that function. There are firing ranges in the area though, the one on hwy.43 charges $15 a day to shoot on the pistol range.

It would be nice, if since we tax payers paid for the Pitt Community college range if they had open days where civilians could shoot for a small fee. This way not only does law enforcement have a place to shoot but it also can turn a profit that would help pay for its upkeep. They could also offer classes on handgun safety that would benefit the community.
