Halifax County Sheriff’s arrest a North Carolina man on rape charges.
74 year old Alvin Thorne from Enfield is accused of sexual assault and second degree rape. Thorne was acting as a foster parent during the time of the alleged crimes.
He's out on a $7,500 bond and will be in court march 25th.

He should face another whole set of charges from Social Services for doing this while a foster parent, in addition to the base charges. If I was his wife I would probably be facing charges for what I'd do to him (I'm assuming he is married to be a foster parent to a female child).
