Middle School Teacher Charged With Having Pot In His Pants
Halifax County deputies say erratic behavior during a traffic stop led them to search the school teacher. Posted: 5:40 PM Dec 17, 2008 |

A middle school teacher is in jail after his arrest for possessing marijuana.
It happened in Halifax County when deputies say they stopped a vehicle for erratic driving.
When the deputy was explaining the warning ticket he gave, the man made several erratic movements. That led to the deputy checking the driver for weapons and that's when he found a sock in the man's pants containing pot, several empty bags and an empty lens case.
26-year-old Dexter Wade of Enfield was arrested for possession with the intent to sell or deliver the marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances.
The sheriff's department says Wade is a substitute teacher at Enfield Middle School. No word whether the school district has taken any action against the teacher.

Well I'm not going to throw any names out...I want this to be posted! Yeah marijuana is illegal in North Carolina but you do have some states or countries where it is legal because it's unharmful. I've never known for marijuana to give any lung diseases and throat cancer like cigarettes so.....I used that for an example. Regardless if cigarettes are Legal they are still HARMFUL! I really think I may have stepped on someone's toes about the cigarette deal....HA!

Teacher, of coarse you feel you are underpaid. No matter how much your pay is increased you will always feel that way. A local man just received a heart transplant that will likely result in him living decades longer than if he had not received it. How much should the doctor be paid per year? He saved a life. 1 million per, ten million, one hundred million, how much is enough for a service like that? What should a teacher get? Would $50,000, $100,000 or 1 million per year be enough? I have had a lot of college kids work for me. Those seeking a degree in engineering, business, pre-med, pre-law, etc were frankly, a cut above those in education, social work, rec mgt and others. I'm not saying that none of the ed, SW, Rec mgt students could survive the rigors of the previously mentioned curriculums, but few could. Some washouts from engineering fell into education degrees as a back up plan. After working with some of the ED majors the thought of them in a classroom was scary!
