Two men have been arrested this week for stealing church air conditioner units in different parts of one Eastern Carolina county.
Wayne County deputies say Darion Kelly was arrested Monday for stealing AC units from Thunderswamp Pentecostal Holiness Church and Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church in the southern part of the county. After checking local scrap yards, the AC coils were found.
Bond for the Dudley man was set at $32,500.
Then on Wednesday deputies arrested Teron Langston of La Grange for stealing three AC units from Saints Delight United Holiness Church on La Grange Road. Those coils were also found at a local salvage yard. His bond was set at $5,000.
