A teenager is the third person arrested in a home invasion and rape that happened earlier this month in Wayne County.
Montrel Crawford of Goldsboro has been charged with first degree rape, first and second degree kidnapping, first degree burglary and larceny of a firearm.
Deputies say they got the call of the home invasion on March 8th around 11:00 p.m. They say 4 to 5 armed men knocked on the door of the home on Genoa Road and forced their way inside.
One of the men forced a 21-year-old women into a bedroom and sexually assaulted her. Deputies say another woman and a small child were also in the house, with the two being forced to sit in the living room. Taken in the home invasion was a gun and some other items.
Tavares Allen and Jay Jackson, Jr., both of Goldsboro, had already been charged in the attack. The 16-year-old old Crawford was jailed on a $800,000 bond.
