Seymour Johnson Air Base To Break Ground At New Medical Facility

Members of the Seymour Johnson Air Force base along with local and state officials will break ground at a new medical facility that is on the air force base.

Organizers said construction on the $53 million facility will begin January 2015. The new facility will replace the current one that was built in 1959.

According to public affair officials, the new medical facility will have the most up-to-date technology in order to provide health and wellness to the community and maintain a combat ready and deployable force.

The groundbreaking will be 8:15 a.m. at the Seymour Air Base in Goldsboro.

The project is expected to be completed by October 2016.
