An ID card at a crime scene and a quick response led police to a burglar named Christmas, according to Goldsboro officials.
On Tuesday, just after 9:00 p.m., Goldsboro police officers responded to a burglary call on Beech Street.
Shortly after that and a few blocks away from the crime scene, they arrested 23-year-old Christmas Whitfield.
Officers say Whitfield's ID was on the ground where he broke into the home.
Bond was set at $150,000.
