Man Arrested For Shooting That Wounded Two Women

A man is accused of shooting two women during a robbery Friday evening.

Goldsboro police say James Crawford Jr. has been charged with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury.

The shooting happened in the 2000 block of South Slocumb Street around 6:00 p.m. Shelly and Linda Turner of Goldsboro were taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital. Police say after undergoing surgery, one is in stable condition, while the other victim is in satisfactory condition.

A third victim received slight injuries, and was treated and released, according to police.

Police say the shooting wasn't random, and that the victims knew the gunman.

The 19-year-old Crawford was jailed on a $200,000 bond.
