Juvenile Escapes State Custody In Goldsboro

Lawmen are looking for a juvenile detention suspect who escaped state custody this morning.

The 16-year-old was last seen around 10:30 a.m. on Highway 70 West outside of Goldsboro, between Leslie Road and Edgar Street. Authorities are identifying the juvenile as "Ishmael B.", who is from Wayne County.

The juvenile was placed at Stonewall Jackson Youth Development Center in Concord and escaped while being taken to a court visit in Goldsboro.

State officials say "Ishamel" has a history of assaultive behavior and any who who has seen him should contact local law enforcement.
