Goldsboro Man Faces Drug Charges In Greenville

A Goldsboro man is accused of having illegal drugs too close to a local school.

Detention center deputies in Pitt County said 54-year-old Gordon Cardin was arrested by Greenville Police on Thursday.

The Goldsboro man is charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana, having a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for the substance, carrying a concealed gun, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cardin's bond was set at $75,000. Due to the holiday on Friday, deputies said Cardin's first appearance was set for Monday morning.
