A bookkeeper is accused of embezzling thousands of dollars from her former employer.
Andrea Patterson of Mount Olive was charged Monday with embezzlement. Goldsboro police say between August and January the woman is accused of taking nearly $6,500 from M&M Supply on Industry Court.
The 33-year-old was given a $5,000 secured bond and has a first appearance Tuesday afternoon.
