Man Arrested After Meth Lab Discovered

Another meth lab has been busted in Eastern Carolina, this time in Wayne County.

The Goldsboro/Wayne County Drug Squad arrested George Tripp after a search warrant found the meth lab on Pineview Cemetery Road in Seven Springs.

The SBI assisted with the seizure of the lab. The 51-year-old Tripp was placed in the Wayne County jail on a $225,000 secured bond.

You should pay attention to the news. Wayne Co. was number two in the state last year for meth labs and already number one in 2010. That is a bad thing but it also shows that law enforcement is proactive against them. I think there is 5-8 officers for Wayne Co. Drugs. Sounds to me they are doing pretty darn good.

PIN...I live within a mile of Tripp & I can promise you that I am not a meth user. I'm sure you have your fair share of users in your neighborhood, but that doesn't make you a user, get it??

Deb & Jethro - you are both correct. There are plenty of fine upstanding people in the Seven Springs area that do not do meth. People should be careful using phrases like "most of the folks". The more I think about this, the more it infuriates me. Not only my husband and I, but several other concerned parents in this area reported this to law enforcement over 2 years ago after learning about it from our own teenagers - it was common knowledge among the younger crowd. Thank God my own children never became involved, but just how many people did this thug manage to "hook" over the past 2 years when EVERYBODY knew about it except for our wonderful Wayne County Drug Enforcement Officers who were too busy (apparently) to check it out thoroughly ! I am,however, thankful that they finally shut this creep and his lovely shack down.

All I can say is, it's about time !!! My husband and I tried to tell local law enforcement about this over 2 years ago. They claimed to have checked it out - I guess they didn't check hard enough.

You would think they could find more than one in Seven Springs/Dudley area. Most of the folks living in those towns are users.
