Arrest Made In Wilson Murder

There's been an arrest in Monday's murder of a Wilson man.

Police say Danny Hinnant, Jr. was arrested late Tuesday night.

Killed was 21-year-old James Kearney, Jr. His body was found at 601 Woodrow Street around 11:30 a.m. Monday. Police say the murder was the result of on ongoing dispute over money between the two young men.

The 17-year-old Hinnant is in jail with no bond.

Wilson Police are investigating a fatal shooting. Police responded to a gunshot call at 601 Woodrow St. in Wilson around 11:30 a.m. Monday. Detectives say the victim was already dead of a gunshot wound when they arrived.

Police have not released any other details about this fatal shooting at this time. They are encouraging anyone with information about the crime to contact Detective K.
