It is very sad to see these innocent people were killed. What could anyone get by hurting these helpless elderly folks. May thier souls rest in peace and the killer be caught and suffer every single day for this crime as well as many others I am sure he/she has committed. I had only met Mr.Patel once. He was a very kind enthusiastic person and his presence on this earth will be missed.

This is a very sad and disturbing crime. I'm sure these people would have never hurt anyone. EVERYBODY in the Goldsboro/Wayne County area KNOWS this hotel (as well as one other) has been the scene of more than one drug related murder. But yet, the Goldsboro Police Department does nothing to curb the drug dealing that occurs on the premises. Just like this morning, I was driving to work and witnessed a drug deal on a main street in Goldsboro. Two blocks away, on the same street, two city cops had one car pulled; yes, in the city it takes more than one cop to stop a car! lol (Honestly, this is a common practice in Goldsboro.) I stopped in the middle of the street and advised them of the drug deal and the officer just nodded and said, "OK". Yes, this is some of Goldsboro's finest! If they (Goldsboro PD) would act instead of re-acting, things just might be better in the city! Wonder why the city population keeps fleeing to the county??? **RP:WE ARE NOT THE GUN CORRIDOR OF THE USA!

Marie in Greenville, if you have the heart to go to the funeral for these folks (since you are in the same state) (or any others), then why dont you find a home within an empty coffin. I think that is where you should safe guard your low thoughts

I know this couple personally. I've lived with them for approximately 6 months - 1 year. They were employees at my relatives hotel. - Very nice and caring people they were. It's VERY SAD to see the people you lived with and cared for on the news - Hearing that they are dead due to crackheads. They are not related to me, but I wish their family the best of luck because - As RP said, they were planning to go to India for a wedding in Jan/Feb. But, with a death, its very sad to even think about going. May God be with their family and within them. GOD BLESS!!!!

God has turned his back on America, because Americans turned their back on him!!!One person to take prayer out of our schools, ten commandments out of publc places, what do you expect, just sit back and watch,if american people don't get on their knees and earnestly pray for forgiveness, this is only gonna get worse!Things like this are so sinceless, the precious life of these people ment nothing to the monster or monsters that did this,if it is such a bad area, why no cameras? They have them on main street to catch speeders, but they can't put them in high crime areas! If they are caught, all they will do is put them in prison, keep them a few years, your tax dollars and mine will pay for 3 sqs. a day, gym, education, then pop them right back out for GOOD behavior and time served!SECOND the ones they kill get second chance? NO!The good book says eye for an eye!!!!to (think) I like your comment!

It is truly sad about this couple. However reading these comments, one thing is overlooked. Guns are inantimate objects. Guns are not evil people are. I think that is forgotten. I mean more people are killed in vehicle crashes lets ban cars. When the nation remembers we need to punish people and not objects we will finally resort to some sort of justice. I feel truly sorry for this couple and their family.
