Man Shot At During Robbery; Two Arrested

Two men are under arrest after deputies say they robbed and then shot at a man Tuesday morning in Wayne County.

Kendrick Thompson and Reginald Cobb are in the Wayne County jail on $200,000 bonds.

Deputies say Tuesday afternoon the man was robbed in the vicinity of Durham Lake Road and Shirley Drive in Dudley. They say Cobb was armed with a shotgun and fired it at the victim.

The investigation shows both men planned the robbery and part of the stolen money has been recovered. The victim was not injured.

holy crap. why dont we just let the two thugs go so the can prey on members of their community some more. i am amazed at how they are the victims and law enforcement is the enemy. the law enforcement officers went into this community to try and clean up the drugs and criminals there and look at how they are treated. i see that the young men or teens shot at the person. what if it had hit a child in the area how would you feel then. these young men are not the victims. they are criminals and should be treated that way. how many times have they done a robbery and gotten away with it because the real victim did not want to report it. praise should be given to the law enforcement officers that were trying to get these thugs and drugs off the street. if it was an undercover officer they robbed and shot at praise should be given to him for putting his live in danger for the betterment of your community. not to mention for not killing these two thugs. if he had you would make him the bad guy.

one of the teens arrested was looking forward to going to college and heard there was money on the street, the other teen was on his way to work, turning his life around, had been approved for financial aide for college, friends contacted him told him about this money with the probation officer on his back for money & child support it was an opportunity to take money from someone that was just going to throw it away on drugs. I really hope the leaders in Wayne county really take the time to read these comments and evaluate the situation of these young people. Not only are they charged with armed robbery but conspiracy to traffic cocaine which obviously is NOT the case. Our law enforcement is so bad, no wonder our young people dont trust them.

It was not just any man it was an undercover cop, so the word was already on the street this WHITE man was in the area looking for drugs & had a large sum of money. A set up for robbery.

If an undercover cop goes into a poverty area w/bundle of money anyone with common sense will know that is a set up for robbery. I think these things should be re-evaluated, you have people living on the street, hungry,homeless,etc..of course they are going to be tempted to rob someone suppected of having a large sum of money. They young boys should be punished but I sure hope they are treated fairly. May God have mercy on your souls.
