DEPUTIES: Woman Cashed Checks From Overseas Serviceman

Deputies say a woman cashed stolen checks from an Seymour Johnson airman who was deployed overseas.

Melissa Garcia of Goldsboro is charged with two counts of forgery, cashing a forged check and obtaining property by false pretenses.

The 37-year-old woman was arrested Friday and her bond was set at $10,000.

    you meanto tell me she cashes this poors guys check with NO hassle, but i can only DEPOSIT my husbands check in OUR joint account. they act like i'm commiting a crime to get $10 cash back. and mind you this is MY HUSBAND, not a total stranger!

    I doubt very much that someone with the lack of scruples it takes to steal anyone's paycheck will stop to think about WHO the paycheck belongs to. Right?

    So, we go over to Iraq/Afghanistan, get shot at, wounded, or killed, and we have some woman who apparently dont give a rat's butt about how hard we have to earn this money, the price that each dollar is earned, does she not care? What does it take for us men and women who go overseas to fight for our country to come home without having to worry about someone robbing us of the money that is very hard earned?
