Wayne County deputies have released a composite drawing of the man they say kidnapped, assaulted and robbed a woman late Tuesday night.
Diane Matthews was found unconscious in her car, which was parked along I-95 in Halifax County. Deputies say the woman stopped to give a ride to a man she thought she knew, but it turned out the man was a total stranger.

A Wayne County woman is recovering after being kidnapped and assaulted Tuesday night.
Authorities say Kimberly Matthews was found three counties away Wednesday morning, unconscious in her car along I-95.
The 32-year-old woman told deputies that she was driving home from work on Highway 13 when she saw a person walking along the road that she thought she knew. When she stopped to offer the friend a ride, she realized she did not know the man. The man got in the car and wanted a ride to Newton Grove.
Matthews says she was assaulted in the Jordan's Chapel area and was then forced to drive him around, until they ended up in Halifax County where her vehicle ran out of gas. The woman was then assaulted again and robbed of her jewelry, purse and cell phone.
The kidnapper is described as a white male, in his 40s, approximately 5 foot 7 inches, 220 pounds, missing a front tooth on the upper left of his mouth, blond graying hair, thin on top with a thin mustache and beard. He was last seen wearing a green pull over shirt and khaki cargo shorts.

A 32-year-old woman was found unconscious in her vehicle on the side of Interstate 95 early Wednesday morning, according to the Halifax County Sheriff's Office.
Detective Bobby Martin tells WITN that troopers found the woman on I-95 near Highway 561 in Halifax County at 4:20 a.m. Martin says the woman was the focus of a search that started in Wayne County where she was kidnapped.
Lawmen believe her abductor abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.
The woman was taken to the hospital where she was able to provide detectives with a description of the kidnapper. He's described as a white man in the age range of 35 to 45, between 5'5" and 5'7" tall, with graying blond hair and a thin beard and mustache. Detective Martin says the man also is missing a tooth in the front left corner of his mouth.
Wayne County lawmen have not released the name of the woman yet. They say her husband filed a missing person report around midnight when she did not return home from work.
