Four people from Wilson, including a 13-year-old, are charged with trying to rob a Greenville man at gunpoint.
Just after 1:00 a.m. Thursday, Greenville police were called to the intersection of Forbes Street and East 12th Street.
The victim, 21-year-old Jake Tilley, said four people approached him, and one pulled out a handgun.
Lawmen say the 13-year-old boy was the one who pulled out the gun.
Tilley said he took off running and used his cell phone to call police.
Officers were getting a description of the suspect from Tilley when other officers stopped a car leaving the area. They say that car contained four people matching the description of the suspects.
Police say the 13-year-old suspect who pointed the handgun still had the gun in his possession.
Police say there were two "Scream" masks in the car they were apprehended in early Thursday morning.
Investigators are now trying to determine if these suspects are responsible for any other criminal activity.
The boy from Wilson, age 13, was arrested, along with 18-year-old Barry McCoy from Wilson, 18-year-old Eddie Hinnant from Wilson and 20-year-old Anthony Barnes of WIlson.
