Wilson County Drops Boil Water Advisory

Wilson County has dropped its boil water advisory for residents in the Southwest Water District.

Officials say a second round of tests did not show any total coliform bacteria.

Wilson County is alerting some residents that the water is not safe to drink right now.

Wilson County officials say people in the southwast water district should boil their water before drinking it this morning. Tests have detected total coliform bacteria.

Health officials say you should boil the water vigorously for one minute. More tests are underway. We'll keep you posted on when the advisory is lifted.
