Memorial Service Held For Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Pilot Killed

A North Carolina church will hold a memorial service for a fighter pilot killed in Afghanistan.

Captain Mark McDowell died when his F-15E Strike Eagle crashed in eastern Afghanistan in July.

A memorial service was held Saturday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Belmont.

McDowell was assigned to the 336th Fighter Squadron at Seymour
Johnson Air Force Base.

The squadron's F-15E Strike Eagle jets and about 300 personnel, including air and ground crews, deployed from the Goldsboro base in April for a four-month tour of duty.

I wonder if the F-15E squadron did a missing man formation flyover for him?Considering how the Obama administration has gutted the military's budget, it would be a disgrace if they didn't.
