DEPUTIES: Church Air Conditioning Thief Caught

Deputies say they've nabbed a man responsible for a rash of air conditioning thefts from Wayne County churches.

Dustin Holland is accused of stealing the units from five churches in the southern part of the county.

Churches victimized were Shady Grove Church, Stevens Church, Falling Creek Church, Selah Church and Thunder Swamp Church.

Deputies say the 29-year-old Holland tore the units apart and sold to a scrap yard for $116.25. Some of the parts were recovered, but were beyond repair.

"The irony of this crime was that the total damage and theft amounted to around $32,000.00 and suspect sold these air conditioner units as scrap and received around $160.00." said Wayne County Sheriff Carey Winders.

Holland's bond was set at $60,000.

This is a perfect example of why illegal drugs matter! This loser (a.k.a. toolbox) was so desperate for his next hit that he would do anything (like steal air conditioners and sell them for $116.25). Another perfect example of why drug and their dealers need a hard lesson.

It is a shame what "meth" will make people do. So instead of having drug rehab the state will send him to prison where he can learn to master the craft of thiefery.
