Rape Charges Brought Against Goldsboro Man

A Goldsboro man is jailed after police say he raped a teenager.

Quadius Gaines was arrested Wednesday on four counts of statutory rape of a person who is 13, 14 or 15 years old, and one count of delivering a controlled substance to a person under 16 by a person 18 or older.

Police say the Department of Social Services on May 14th asked for help in an investigation.

The 42-year-old Gaines is being held on a $100,000 bond.

This is a very sad thing to happen in our community to children . I live in the Goldsboro area and it seems this is a more common occurance these days . I am not trying to target a specific nationality but it seems the majority of these crimes are committed by members of the Hispanic community and I am wondering if it is more tolerated in their homeland or if they think it is just okay . I think it has got to be a true social problem if you look at the # of Hispanic males that participate in the assault of the children of their community. I as a father of 3, ages 5,8 &9 do not see what a man can find sexually appealing about a young child. We need to pray that these men seek help and we also need to educate our children of the dangers that surround them everyday and be more diligent adults in the supervision of our children and ensure their safety at any cost.

IF guilty should get death 4 sure. But is it any wonder that theses punks feel safe in Goldsboro? Just 2 years ago in July 07 Cherry Hospital, one of the counties largest employers installed a convicted, felon child molester as medical director over hundreds of patients, including an adolescent female ward. Could there be any easier targets than locked up mentally ill children? When I outed him on tv and in the news the hospital tried to deny it, then later when they couldnt lie anymore he was transeferred to a prison job where he still makes 175,000 of your hard earned tax dollars. Please write your legislators ( nc.gov) and ask for stiffer penalties for child molesters and ask them not to hire molesters as state employees ( I know it sounds like its not true, but it is you can check it by searching " cherry sex offender doctor" on this very website

What a sorry world we live in! The punishment (if found guilty) should fit the crime!!! Ditto: "lil washington".
