Nine Pounds Of Pot Seized

Nine pounds of pot, bound for the streets of Mount Olive, has been seized and four people arrested after a chase through two counties.

Police say a Wilson Police canine alerted on a ground freight package en-route to an address in Mount Olive. A Wilson police officer delivered the package and that's when the suspects lead police on a two mile chase into Duplin County.

Police say of the vehicles tried to ram one of the marked police cases in an attempt to escape.

The four pounds of pot has a street value of over $20,000.

The following people were charged:

Raheem Leonard, B/M DOB 09/09/1980, was charged with:
Conspiracy to Sell & Deliver marijuana
Possession with intent to sell & deliver marijuana

Lamone Hargrove, B/M DOB 05/08/1988, was charged with:
Conspiracy to Sell & Deliver marijuana
Possession with intent to sell & deliver marijuana

Antonio Usher, B/M DOB 04/19/1980, was charged with:
Conspiracy to Sell & Deliver marijuana
Possession with intent to sell & deliver marijuana
Assault with a Deadly Weapon

Korey Hill, B/M DOB 10/13/1975, was charged with:
Conspiracy to Sell & Deliver marijuana
Possession with intent to sell & deliver marijuana

    I'm so glad valuable tax dollars and police resources are used to seek out and destroy this non lethal natural substance. I rather support big tobacco companies that kill 400,000 people a year. At least its legal.

    I would like to know where the package came from and if the person sending it was arrested to... It was said that it came from texas.. Has that person been arrested and if so who is it??

    I am with Buford with this one!! And by the way Dogs are color blind ! They do not have the rods and cones like we dog to distinguish colors. Smell the Mary Jane !!! Big dog came running! LOL!

    Let me be the first to cry race in this crime..The very well trained police dog "raced" up to the pot and barked. The good dogie did not care about the skin color of the recipients, all the dog cared about was the smell of marijuana. Unfortunately, it was 4 B/M's on the receiving end. OH by the way Well, what will you have to say about this ? Good work Wilson PD, and the nice unprejudiced K-9.
