POLICE: Cool Thief Caught Red-Handed

You might want to call it a cool heist, with police saying they caught the burglar red-handed.

Goldsboro police have charged a teenage with stealing large amounts of various types of ice cream.

Police on patrol early Tuesday morning noticed Jodeci Rivers walking down North George Street with an extremely large black bag on his back.

They soon discovered that someone had just broken into three ice cream trucks at the Pet Milk and Ice Cream Company, which was about two miles away.

The 16-year-old is charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after B&E, possession of stolen goods and possession of burglary tools. He's in the Wayne County jail on a cool $17,500 bond.

The ice cream company told police the melting ice cream could not be saved.

Haha how sad do you really have to be? What was he going to do with it? It was already melted I'm guessing if he was 20 miles away and had it in a BLACK bag outside. Haha I'm curious. . .

paul, please explain how I would know whether I like an article without reading it.I suppose you could get others to form an opinion for you,I choose to think for myself!Try it you may like it.This does not constitute news when there are young men and women being shot at ,houses being foreclosed, and most important of all Summer time is here. The person is presumed innocent, evidence to the contrary not withstanding.

He is a typical inhabitant of the area around where the ice cream trucks are parked. A lot of the crowd there would steal the pennies off a dead mans eyes.

This kid needs to be in school. He steals icecream in the heat of summer and stashes it in a BLACK bag. What a moron. He probably did hundreds of dollars worth of damage to the truck to steal $20 worth of icecream that is now useless. I don't know what to think about this kid. He ain't too bright.
