No Foul Play Believed In Deadly Fire

Police say a deadly weekend fire in Goldsboro began with the victim smoking in bed.

Preliminary autopsy results indicate there was no foul play involved in the death of Adrian Villa.

Early Saturday morning firefighters were called to Villa's home on East Elm Street. After putting out the fire they found the 61-year-old man dead in the home.

Villa's body was identified through the course of a police investigation and in conjunction with the Medical Examiners Office.

Smoking in bed should be against the law. Still, this could be a cover-up for a crime.
