Wilson's Downtown Alive concert series kicks off Wednesday May 6th. This year the event is located in the 200 block of South Tarboro between Womble Hardware and Newcomb Lighting. The gates open at 5:30 PM and the bands take the stage at 6:00 PM. These family friendly performances will have the bands playing until 8:30 PM.
The first to take stage will be The Holiday Band on May 6. The second scheduled Downtown Alive show will feature Spare Change on May 20. The Band of Oz will be performing June 3, with The Alabama Blues Brothers taking stage June 17. Other scheduled performers include: Donald Thompson Band, Jim Quick & Coastline, Sherlock, Country Roads, The Embers, and the Craig Woolard Band. Spare Change and the Band of Oz are both scheduled to appear twice.
Please no pets or coolers, however feel free to bring lawn chairs and blankets to come enjoy these performances.
