V.P. Biden To Visit Duplin & Wayne Counties This Week

Vice President Joe Biden will be in eastern Carolina this week to discuss how federal stimulus money will help rural Americans.

The White House released a statement Monday that said Biden and
Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will "make a major
announcement regarding rural housing funding" when they visit the
state Wednesday.

Biden and Vilsack are scheduled to visit Goshen Medical Center
in Faison, Duplin County. The clinic serves rural residents and will receive funding from the federal Recovery Act.

They also are scheduled to be in Pikeville, Wayne County to visit the local fire department, which also will receive stimulus funding to help
build a new facility.

Further details of their visit haven't been released.

"Botox Head"??? Tad, I must admit that that's a good one.

Maybe Botox head can explain why NC is getting the smallest share of the stimulus money in the nation, per capita, while his goofy self is here. Barbara, it is not about a culture that we don't understand. Just because you don't understand it, don't assume that others don't. I understand their culture well because I had many of them thrust upon me by upper management while I was manageing restaurants. I had to explain to parents time and again how immigrants didn't understand legal and social barriers to relationships with teenage girls. I constantly worried that one of my cooks was going to kill someone on the way to work while driving drunk with no license. Then had to lose another employee for stretches of time so that they could be driven back home. I spent countless hours explaining that standards of cleanliness here are a bit higher than where they came from. I'm not happy about welfare money squandered on lazy Americans, but you expect me to be happy to keep up an illegal

I am excited that a sitting Vice-president would think about a small rural county to come and visit. This is something we should have our children witnessing to see someone of this magnitude. It does not matter at this junction which political party because this is history in the making. And to comment on who will be benefitting from the services offered by this rural health clinic-Goshen, it will be any human being that needs medical care. If they work there in any capacity, money is put into the economy of Duplin county. All hispanics are not illegals. Duplin might have a high hispanic population but some of them were born in the United States. Because of agriculture they migrated to Duplin and other counties to help farmers with the crops. It is only right while here their families should get the care they deserve such as WIC, food stamps, medical services, and decent housing. They may have a culture we don't understand but all races have something.

Well, Duplin County has one of the highest illegal alien populations in North Carolina. Biden doesn't need to go there to inform people where the stimulus money will go. I think that's pretty much common knowledge by now. Just more for illegals to gobble up in WIC, foodstamps, housing, healthcare and education. What else is new?
