Silver Alert Cancelled For Wilson Man

Police have cancelled the silver alert for a missing Wilson man.

Officers say they were alerted by the family that James Taylor was found safe.

A silver alert has been issued for a man from Eastern Carolina.

James Columbus Taylor is missing. Officials say he is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

Anyone with information about Taylor should call Officer Eddie Edwards at the Wilson Police Department at 252-399-2323.

Police say Taylor is 72, black, 5'6" tall, weighs 210 pounds, has black/gray hair and brown eyes. They say he walks sideways and has a visable hernia in his stomach. He was last seen wearing black pants, a green sweater, blue coat and burgandy shoes.

Taylor's last known location was at 2223 Imperial Drive in Wilson, and he was driving south on Imperial Drive.
