A former high school football coach is facing sex crime charges against a young person today.
Tony Ray Newcomb has been indicted on two felony counts of taking indecent liberties with a child and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. Newcomb is a former assistant varsity football coach and parking attendant at Fike High School in Wilson, according to the Wilson Daily Times. The report said Newcomb resigned in September.
Court records show Newcomb is due in Wilson County Superior Court to face the charges against him on April 14, which will be his 48th birthday.
