A traffic stop has netted deputies more than $40,000 worth of fake designer handbags and tennis shoes.
Wayne County deputies say Reginald Atkinson of Goldsboro was pulled over by narcotic officers on I-795 on Friday. That's when they found the counterfeit merchandise and charged the man with criminal use of a counterfeit trademark.
The 23-year-old man's bond was set at $2,500.
