List Of Potential Witnesses In Laurean Trial Released

Onslow County District Attorney Dewey Hudson has released his list of potential witnesses he may call in the murder trial of Cesar Laurean.

Laurean is accused of killing pregnant Marine comrade Maria Lauterbach in December 2007. The trial was moved from Onslow County to Goldsboro because of the intense media scrutiny.

The potential witness list contains 136 names. The district attorney does not need to call everyone on the list; however, he can only call people from the list submitted to the court.

The first name on the list is the mother of the murder victim, Mary Lauterbach of Dayton, Ohio. She was in court Monday as pre-trial motions were heard.

The final name on the list is the wife of the suspect, Christina Laurean. She was not in court Monday, and it's not clear if she will appear unless summoned to testify. By law, spouses cannot be forced to testify against each other.

The rest of the list is comprised of state and local law enforcement, criminal investigators, Marine Corps members and officials, a family medical resident from the Naval Hospital at Camp Lejeune, even a representative from Marine Federal Credit Union. Several of the names on the list do not have a title referencing their connection to the case.

of course she would stick back him and so would anyone else who is guilty as him. If she does not stand by him then she is risking the chance on him telling everything that he has on her. At least this way she comes out as a victim her self when she is just as guilty. Of course all of this is just IMO, but I think people needs to read between the lines. IMO there is no way that the timeline that we know of gave him time to do everything and get cleaned before the wife returned home and I would love to be sitting in that court room listening to all of the testimony that will be given in this case. I just hope that everyone that had any part of this horrible crime gets what is coming to them. My prayers and thoughts are still with Maria's family!!!
