People have been visiting the North Carolina State Fair in Raleigh in record numbers during the opening days of the event.
Statistics show that attendance on both Thursday and Friday was the highest ever for the state fair. There were 47,677 people at the fair on Thursday, which was opening day. On Friday, 77,485 people attended.
Saturday's attendance didn't break a record, but it did not miss by much. More than 131,000 went to the North Carolina State Fair on Saturday, which was about 7,500 people shy of the record set in 1984.
The fair runs through October 24.
