Raleigh Firefighter Injured During Blaze At Home

A Raleigh firefighter has been taken to the hospital with burn injuries after battling a blaze at a local home.

The fire department says about 35 firefighters were called to a two-story residential building in the southwestern part of the city where about 12 people live. No one was home at the time the Monday morning fire broke out.

Investigators say the firefighter suffered minor burns to the legs, and was taken to a nearby hospital. Information on the firefighter's condition was not immediately available Monday.

About 60 percent of the building was damaged in the blaze, with one apartment completely destroyed.
Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
