No. 4 Tar Heels Ready To Prove Themselves In ACC

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) -- North Carolina didn't look much like a preseason No. 1 when it lost by 33 at Florida State or blew a big lead to lose at home to Duke.

The question now is whether a dominant performance against the Blue Devils to clinch the Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season title was just one game or the start of something more.

The fourth-ranked Tar Heels begin play in the ACC tournament in Atlanta on Friday against the Wake Forest-Maryland winner.

Coach Roy Williams says his players didn't have a great practice Monday, though that was "human nature" after the emotional win at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Still, big man Tyler Zeller says the players have gone from just expecting to win to increasing their intensity and concentration to get it done.

Blah Blah Blah...... glad you know me so well! To everyone out there you can not be a "TRUE FAN" if you did not go to school or graduate from the school whom you are pulling for!!! And please don't make any mistakes when you are typing up here, because the english teacher is going to get you, even though you may have aced English in school! Im soooo worried about the people who laugh behind my back, Im pretty sure you have none! Im grown enough lady/man whatever you may be, you have no clue who I am, please stop acting like you do. Time for you to keep your comments to yourself! And your still asking what college I went to, I wouldn't give you the satisfaction to know, thats why I am not answering you and because I don't have to. Bye Bye please go annoy someone else, you obviously enjoy doing it! LOL!

I thought that you said earlier that you were done posting to me as it was not worth your time. Yet, here you are again, typing up more meaningless drivel, again contradicting yourself. Are you ashamed of your alma mater? It appears so. That is pathetic. All so you can wrap yourself around the baby blue, just like everyone else you know. I'm not an English teacher, by the way. I work in the same field as you, medicine, I'm a family physician here in ENC, fwiw. You may even know me. Why do I continue to write this? Because it is people like you that have no affiliation toward UNC that seem completely unaware of how little those in Chapel Hill care about ENC and have tried via both overt and covert ways over many years to deny sevices to those of us in the east, without having to drive to the Triangle. As if we were not worthy of their resources and over-inflated wisdom and view of themselves. Yet you, a nurse who lives in Farmville and should know better, falls blindly for their propaganda machine without even thinking about it out of sheer myopic incomprehension. Please don't tell me that you work for ECU. Or are you still not posting or reading what I write (yet again?!)

OMG are you kidding me. Now that I live in ENC I am not suppose to support a team in the triangle. You continue to amaze me. I hope and pray you are not my family physician. Don't you have patients to see? Oh thats right most of them rather see the nurse who knows everything about them, rather than the doctor in charge. And I said I "can" drop it. But you got to have the last word because you are the one who started it all, so go ahead and start typing away. How in the world did my one little comment cause all this, it's hilarious!

I assisted many patients today, thank you. As an RN, you should know that we exist as a multi-disciplinary team, using each of our respective professional talents. You have little ability to discern the written word and a great ability to surmise what was never said nor implied. I never said that you cannot "support a team in the Triangle". Rather, I question why you blindly support this team that you have no affiliation with vs. the school that YOU attended. Further, I wrote about how UNC has neglected and disparaged ENC for decades. Yet you ignore this point and act if this history were not true. Are you really this hard-headed and thin skinned?! UNC-CH has done nothing for ENC but ignore and neglect us and work against our interests. Still you call yourself a "true fan" of theirs without understanding basic historical fact. You can go ahead and continue to act naive and inappropriately maligned here, but the truth is that you are willfully being misled by an institution due to the fact that you have always been a UNC fan as this was the only reality you have ever known. Again I say, it's time to wake up and smell reality. The reality is that UNC-CHeat is not your friend, dislikes you and your ilk, has deceived you for decades, and has propped up a phony image that is soon to be nationally disgraced due to gross corruption and malfeasance.

Oh and you have some nerve to talk about nurses and your a doctor! I work with them everyday also. My father has stage 4 cancer right now because some doctor wanted to overlook his cancer for seven years. And then his cancer was spread through bx to another area and again that was brushed off for another year. Then he had 3 blockages, and failed a stress test and the hospital dr on call sent him home. It might have been you since you mention ECU, who knows! And please don't say I typed this for you to feel sorry for me, because that would not be the case at all, it was all to just state a fact.

You're dodging the point and doing so very obviously and poorly. Come on, at least try to keep up intellectually with that "nursing school" education of yours. You went to another college, didn't you? That's why you're ducking the question about whether or not you graduated from UNC-CHeat, huh? By definition, this makes you a band-wagon fan which was the EXACT point of my very first response to you. Have you no loyalty to your alma mater? Or did you grow-up a UNC-CHeat fan as that is who all your family, classmates, and the local media cheered for? Time to grow-up, display some independent thought, and display a little loyalty to YOUR school. Not to a school that wouldn't admit you and whose fans laugh at you and your band-wagon ways behind your back. Welcome to reality. By the way, "true fans" of UNC-CHeat know that Tar Heels are two words, not one. They are taught that at Orientation. Some "true fan" you are, LOL!!!

Bahahaha. You think I'm going to answer you, the answer would be no I won't. And you will drop it,I don't care if you do I can drop it right now by posting this and not reading anymore of your post. "Most people don't have to be smart to be a nurse", yeah you wouldn't know. And fyi you do have to be smart and go longer for a masters. Who said anything about professing fandom? I was referring to the fact some people can dish it out but can't take it. Answer a question for me, are you married because I hate it for your spouse. I'm kidding I don't care. Your welcome for the response. Would love to chat longer but don't want to get you to worked up and its not worth anymore of my time.

your post was confusing as your writing skills are atrocious. Your inability to articulate a thought clearly leads to misinterpretation. Surely, you did not attend UNC (I hope!). You are just another band-wagon fan of pastel blue that will be severely disappointed when the NCAA hands out their sanctions on the UNC-CHeaters. By the way, word on the street in Chapel Hill is that the NCAA investigation has taken a turn for the far, far worse. That is why there is a delay in announcing sanctions. Better hope this doesn't spread over to the basketball team... tick tock. The "Carolina Way" has run aground on a rock. Abandon ship Wal-Heels, the sea is going to get very rough for those that wear girly blue.

Wow, you are really funny! FYI I am a nurse, and I think you have to be pretty darn smart to be one, ask anyone who has been to nursing school. Your misinterpretation is your problem, not mine, or should i say your inability to read correctly. And Band-wagon fan, you have no clue who I am, how do you assume that? I will be whatever kind of fan I wanna be, why is that a problem for you? I don't care what the word on the street is or what the future may hold for my team or any other team. I have to say I had a good laugh after reading your post. And I will NEVER be disappointed in UNC because if they were to lose every game from here on out, I will still be a fan, regardless. Thats the definition of a true fan.

ahhh yes, I can see that narcissistic, smug, and self-righteous RN attitude clearly now; I deal with it all day every day. Some (RN's) are better, more clinically proficient (and smarter) than others. For the record, being a nurse does not necessarily make an individual "smart". Some are bright, however. At the end of the day, the terminal degree for nursing is still a 4 year degree, unlike most other disciplines in the medical field... Sorry if the truth hurts. So, answer me one question- did you graduate from UNC? You ask: "I will be whatever kind of fan I wanna be, why is that a problem for you?". It is not a "problem" for me per se, I just find it distasteful, pathetic, and disloyal for a graduate of one university (as a nurse, you obviously have a college degree, to be so much a "true fan" (your words) of another school that they must profess this fandom in such an embarrassing, pandering, and non-insightful way here publically. So, did YOU graduate fron UNC? If so, I'll drop it. Thanks for replying.

You know what this will fix all the misunderstanding/misinterpretation for you. I will retype it just for you, the right way. " Still the only team that their coach walked out on them" as previously stated by anonymous. Hope thats plain enough!!!!!!!!! And yes I typed the word "wanna" instead of "want to", Mr/Mrs english teacher!

O there you are Duke fans, you have something to say on this post! Who Cares? I care, All the tarheel fans care. Still the only team that their coach walked out on them, i am pretty sure every team has a first and only. This is pathetic.

It would make no sense for me to be a fan and talk trash about the team I love! I was saying even if our coach did walk out on us, I am pretty sure we are not the first and only team to have something bad happen and won't be the last. Is that better?

I am from the triangle but have lived in ENC for 30 years and I have every right to pull for UNC as well as read about them, just like ECU. I think you need to go to an ECU dedicated news source in the future. No one cares? There are more of us then you and this is ACC country boy, recognize it.
