A man wanted for more than 18 years in a Raleigh slaying has been found in Haiti and brought back to North Carolina to face a murder charge.
Raleigh police say its officers brought 42-year-old Fritzgerald Innocent back to Wake County on Friday after he was extradited from the Caribbean island nation.
Authorities say they have been looking for Innocent ever since he was charged less than a month after 23-year-old Yule Harrison was killed in December 1991.
Raleigh police say city and federal officials finally tracked Innocent to Haiti, where he was arrested last fall while trying to leave the country with a fraudulent passport.
Authorities say three other men were convicted in the case and served time in prison.
It wasn't immediately clear if Innocent had an attorney.
