Bill Cosby Speaks at Commencement

Actor and comedian Bill Cosby spoke Saturday at the commencement ceremony for Shaw University.

Cosby gave the more than 400 graduates a little job-hunting advice during the sluggish economy.

He suggested graduates should keep up with the news and when they see someone doing something wrong, they should apply for that person's job.

If ALL Americans listened to what this man had to say, the country would not be building jails and prisons faster than schools. He tells it like it is and most Americans do not want to hear the truth, about anything. I wish his appearance had been widely publicized, because I would have made it to Raleigh to hear him speak.

If most black Americans would listen to what this great man has to say regarding accountability, responsibility, Christian morals and doing the right thing, our nation would be such a wonderful place to live and crime rates would drop dramatically and our economy would recover. Bill Cosby, one of the last of the best black generation in America. He's not apart of the "blame game race card" players like so many are in America.

first, congrats to all the graduates from the class of 2010. Coming from a small town in NC and being able to see Bill Cosby in person was a true honor. It was amazing to see a person of such status at one of my biggest graduation ceremonies ever. i will never forget the message that he gave and the jokes that came along with the message. Thanks Bill Cosby for making my graduation an extra special one. Bear Pride C/O 2010
