Time Warner Cable Inc. says an "equipment failure" caused preview clips for adult programming to appear on two North Carolina channels dedicated for kids.
Company spokeswoman Melissa Buscher said the problem lasted for about two hours Tuesday morning in areas around Raleigh. She said several parents called to report the problem.
Buscher says the problem appeared on two "Kids on Demand" channels.
Those channels were showing viewers a list of children's programming, but preview videos appearing on the right-hand corner showed adult programming instead.
Time Warner received reports of the problem in Cary, Morrisville, Garner and Goldsboro. Buscher says the company regrets the glitch and has fixed the problem so it won't happen again.
