A Jacksonville mother is the Wake County jail, charged in the death of her three month old daughter.
Nicole Richards was arrested Friday by Apex police on a charge of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Autumn Naomi.
Police say on Sunday, Apex police and EMS went to a home on Reunion Meadows Lane where they say Richards had been visiting a friend for several hours. A 911 call said the baby was in respiratory distress. She died later at the Wake Med trauma Center.
After a search of the home and interviewing several witnesses, they charged the mother. Police will not release any other information in the case.
Richards is being held on a $250,000 bond.
