Governor Beverly Perdue is now tweeting on the World Wide Web.
The governor's office has launched a Twitter page on the Internet. They say it's to help citizens find the latest news and information on the executive branch of state government.
"With only 140 characters, a little bit of twitter can go a long way toward my goal of a transparent, accountable and interactive state gov't," tweeted Perdue.
Perdue's office already has a Facebook page, along with links on YouTube and flickr.com.
The governor's twitter page can be found at twitter.com/ncgovoffice.
