2 NC State Legends Tossed From Stands

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- Two of the best players in North Carolina State history were thrown out of the Wolfpack's 76-62 loss to No. 20 Florida State on Saturday.

Tom Gugliotta and Chris Corchiani were tossed by official Karl Hess with about 6 1/2 minutes left.

Hess declined comment several times when approached after the game by an Associated Press reporter. Corchiani tweeted roughly 40 minutes after the game that Hess "didn't like fact Googs (and) I told him he was having a bad day, inconsistent, (and) telling the truth."

Gugliotta scored 1,536 points while playing for N.C. State from 1988-92, then played 13 years in the NBA. Corchiani had 1,425 points during his career from 1987-91 and spent three seasons in the NBA. Both players' jersey numbers hang from the RBC Center rafters.

I dont agree that they should have been kicked out for that. Fans heckle the refs all of the time.

Not every team can recruit players with as much class as ECU. Keep trying ACC teams.

You sure have an eye for poorly written satire, Anonymous. The problem is, ECU has no more, nor less, athletics malfeasance than other universities. Certainly far less that the NCAA investigated and soon to be sanctioned cheating that has occurred at UNC-CHeat. What is your next guess? Picking the lottery numbers? We all await your prescient "insight". Thanks for the laugh (at your expense). LOL!!!
